Our mission at Wagoner County Emergency Management is to coordinate effective disaster response and recovery efforts in support of local governments. Through planning, training, and exercising we prepare ourselves, our citizens and response personnel to minimize the loss of lives and property. We want to minimize the effect of attack, technological, and natural disasters upon preparedness, and by coordinating emergency response and disaster recovery operations.
Each year, the Wagoner County Emergency Management Department hosts the Emergency Preparedness Expo in partnership with the Coweta Chamber of Commerce.
The Wagoner County Search and Rescue Team responds to emergency calls for help for lost children, elderly people who have wandered off, medical conditions, and people injured while hiking or camping.
Wagoner County's Storm Shelter Registry provides information to emergency responders to help them locate citizens after a natural disaster. This program will provide emergency personnel with time-saving information should your storm shelter be blocked by debris.
The Wagoner County Water Search and Rescue Team responds to emergencies on area lakes and rivers. They are equipped to search for people, boats, vehicles.
